Things to Do

Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Appalachian Mountains, Restigouche is amongst the most picturesque areas in eastern Canada and is known for its warmth and hospitality which were showcased nation-wide when the region co-hosted the Canada Winter Games.  World-renowned for salmon fishing on the majestic Canadian Heritage Restigouche River, the Baie des Chaleurs is also recognized as a member of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club. We also find the Sugarloaf and Mount Carleton Provincial Parks brimming with all-season activities.  The new Restigouche River Experience Centre, located at the Gateway to the Maritimes, offers experiences to seduce tourists to discover the region. Our rich scenery full of contrasts and unrivalled natural beauty make Restigouche a paradise for four season outdoor recreation.
