Popular Acadian theatre - 21st of November

An adaptation by Caroline Bélisle, based on the novel by Anabelle Hébert.

Maude is a nurse. She says it's the most beautiful profession in the world. But Maude is a nurse at the end of her rope. She battles exhaustion with endless coffee and biting humor, while doing her best to dodge the warnings of Margot, the staff therapist, who keeps a close eye on her because she's at risk of burnout.

Despite her unwavering devotion to her patients, it's two coworkers who truly brighten her days: Christophe, whose smile drops her IQ by 12 points every time she sees him, and Alfrédine, a seventy-something nurse whose wit and wisdom help lighten the weight of Maude's exhaustion.

When devastating news shakes the trio, Maude finds herself struggling to keep her balance. Can you stop when you're already hurtling toward a wall? How do you keep caring for others when you've stopped caring for yourself?

November 21 is a play that is both tender and sharp, where days blur together and hospital corridors witness both life and death—every single day.
