Charlo Airport plays a vital role in connecting Restigouche to the rest of the province and beyond. It supports passenger travel, business logistics, and emergency services that are essential to the well-being and economic development of our region.
We are actively working to:
- Promote and raise awareness of existing airport services.
- Support initiatives that enhance the airport's visibility and usage.
- Collaborate with partners to attract new opportunities and investment in the airport.
Actions
In addition to supporting Charlo Airport, we are committed to maintaining and improving the region’s transportation infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient travel for all residents.
- Advocate with governments for investments in improvement and adequate maintenance particularly in winter of Highway 11 and Highway 17.
- Promote the installation of wildlife fences to enhance public safety while protecting local ecosystems.
- Collaborate with provincial partners to ensure long-term sustainability of airport and highway infrastructure.
