Eat Better, Spend less
No one should have to choose between satisfying their hunger and eating nutritious food that promotes their health. To meet the growing challenges of rising food costs, Vitalité Health Network is launching a new guide entitled Eat Better, Spend Less.
Developed by the Network’s Public Health dietitians, this resource aims to help New Brunswickers make informed food decisions, while minimizing the negative effects of food insecurity.
Dietitians have identifed a growing concern about food insecurity among New Brunswick residents. “Around one in four New Brunswickers faces financial constraints that prevent them from buying essential foodstuffs,” explains Karine Doucet, Public Health dietitian.
